Introduction
Data repositories can play a key role in the success of big data initiatives. By centrally storing data within an organization, data scientists and other users can easily access the information they need to perform their analyses. This, in turn, enables faster insights and better decision-making. When selecting a data repository, it is important to consider the needs of the business and the team of data scientists who will be using it.
Approach
We implemented data repositories to store all the information we collected. We conducted a data inventory and found that we had several different types of data in many different formats. By standardizing our data and putting it into a repository, we were able to make it easier to find, use, and share. The data repository also made it possible for us to analyze our data more effectively.
Results
We managed to increase the efficiency of data retrieval, reduce the amount of time for data entry and make the data less complex for the end-user to use. Finally, we created a more stable and secure environment.
